ReadySECURE Scanning — Terms of Authorization 1. What you are authorizing By accepting these terms for a specific domain, you authorize ReadySECURE to perform automated security testing against that domain and the systems that serve it. Testing includes host discovery, port and service enumeration, service and version fingerprinting, TLS configuration analysis, vulnerability detection, and application-layer security testing. This is real traffic sent to real systems. It can cause errors, slowdowns, or downtime on the systems tested. 2. Your representations You represent and warrant, separately for each domain you authorize, that: (a) you own and operate the domain, or hold express authorization from every party with authority to permit testing of it; (b) you personally have authority to give this authorization; (c) that authority is in effect now and has not been revoked or limited; and (d) testing does not violate any agreement binding on you, including any hosting, cloud, content-delivery, or acceptable-use agreement covering the infrastructure on which the domain is hosted. 3. Email verification is not authorization Receiving this message at an address on the domain shows only that you control that mailbox. It is not a determination by us that you own the domain or are authorized to permit testing of it, or that testing is lawful in your circumstances. That responsibility is yours. 4. What we record We record your email address, the domain, the exact text of these terms as shown to you, your IP address, browser, and the date and time you accepted. We may disclose that record to hosting providers, network operators, complainants, regulators, and law enforcement in order to respond to an abuse complaint or legal process. 5. Suspension We may stop any scan, disable any domain, or suspend your account at any time and without notice if we receive an abuse complaint, have reason to believe a domain is not authorized, or are directed to act by a provider, regulator, or law enforcement. 6. Indemnity You will defend and indemnify us against any third-party claim arising from a domain you submitted, any breach of Section 2, or any assertion that a scan you initiated was unauthorized or caused damage. This survives termination. 7. Your compliance You are responsible for compliance with all applicable law, including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, 18 U.S.C. § 1030, and analogous state statutes.
